Anybody tried this place? Drove by last night, looks sort of promising.

I drove by tonight and had the same reaction -- it looks like this might be the new location of the restaurant by the same name that used to be on International at 40th. I stopped, but they were closed and no hours were posted anywhere. Reviews on yelp are terrible; I remember the Oakland location to be very inconsistent.

the regular menu is very pricey. lunch specials are reasonable. these are written in spanish on a chalkboard at the door. the tilipia i had was dry, tasteless. only 2 other parties showed up during lunch.

service ok, english spoken here. believed menu was in spanish.

If it's indeed related to the Oakland place that Ruth mentions, I had a good goat barbacoa (I know, redundant) there not long before it closed. But also, it was not particularly cheap, i.e. more than you would expect for the neighborhood.
