That looks like a lot of fun, and the ticket price of $16.50 per person is reasonable.

Unfortunately for us, it's a long way to go when you're drinking & driving. Wish it were closer to this end of the city....sigh

It's in your neighbourhood, so do you have to go?

Don't bother. These things have become excuses to push junk.

My question to wordsworth is: have you been?
Im a loyal fan to the beer festival..and love the opportunity to sample beers, so I thought it would be fun to check this show out as well.
I will be following up on friday nite with a report...dont ya worry!!

cripes, I hope there's some food there. I love beer and wine but food should go along with that.

We went last year when it was at the Distillery District. It wasn't very well put together. Although the cocktails section was marginally better than the beer area, I wouldn't go again.

But that could just have been the location. The Distillery has a way of sucking the good out of some events (rib fest is another example).

thanks smacvert!! Something tells me, that they are still "looking" for the right venue for this show.

So...has anyone been yet? I'd love some feedback and tips before I go this weekend. Thanks.
It doesn't appear to be too close to the Downsview subway station, which is unfortunate for an event specializing in alcohol consumption. Any shuttles to and from the station?

I went at the distillery, and wouldnt go again. I felt a little out of place, since it was very preppy, your typical club go-ing crowd, very dressed up. The drinks were alright, pricey though, and nothing special.
            There were shuttles however.
I'd prefer the beer festival as well.

i went on friday around 5:30 pm....I brought along hubby and 3 friends.
Needless to say we were not impressed. The price didnt bother me....the fact that they didnt give you a small sample didnt even bother me...what bothers me, is that there were no more than 2 dozen exhibitors. I was shocked...I was embarassed (coz I dragged out my friends to this event).
However, I asked to meet the show manager and he listened to my concerns and feedback and happily reimbursed us for three tickets.
We were out of there in 30 minutes flat....
              Will NOT be returning (obviously).
I am now looking forward to going to the "The World of Beer" in montreal..which is a 5 day event!! and will have more than enough exhibitors!!!
