Where to find Creme de Marrons in GTA?

Westfalen May 11, 2008 11:21 AM

Does anyone know where to buy this? It should be an import product from France.

chestnut cream = crème de marron

This is made with puréed chestnuts, brown sugar, and vanilla. It's used as an ingredient in several desserts, including Mont Blanc. It is dark brown.

And it tastes in creme fraiche!

Thank you!

Sobeys on Queensway, Dominion in Liberty Vilage and Highland Foods at Dufferin and Finch all have it. I believe Whole Foods has it too.

I've seen jars of this at Jules Patisserie, Patisserie La Cigogne, and the Bay at Queen Street (near the counter where they sell Leonidas chocolates).
