Favorite place for your birthday cocktail?

Where would you take yourself out for a cocktail at 5 p.m. on your birthday on a weekday in New Orleans? Two suggestions my friends gave me already were Napoleon House and Bistro Daisy on Magazine. Anyplace else come to mind?

For beautifully-made cocktails, Chris Hannah at Arnaud's 75 or Lu Brow at the Swizzle Stick are the absolute tops.

I second visiting Chris at French 75 in Arnaud's. He's a great guy and he makes really good cocktails.
Give it a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed

I second The Columns. Another great choice is Bacchanal in the Bywater. It is a wine bar but has a great backyard/patio.

If you are looking for a truly well made cocktail as the centerpiece I would go see Chris at French 75 bar at Arnaud's. The Swizzle Stick may also be a good option. Granted, it is not going to be a rowdy environment but the drinks are fantastic.

Also think about Dos Jefes (their patio is excellent to relax on), St Joes, Bridge Lounge or the Bulldog (either on Magazine or Midcity).
