Is there any place in the city (near the symphony is good, but within city limits will do) that serves food after 10:00? Anyplace besides Denny's, IHOP and Benton Park Cafe, that is?

Following up with my own post, in case anyone is wondering. We ended up at Erato, which does serve food late, but I just don't like the atmosphere or service now that it's under new ownership. But we almost went to Atomic Cowboy, which also does serve food after 10 (which is late for STL standards.... sigh).

side tip: never use the the terms San Fran or Frisco unless you want a bunch of tighty types bunching up your tighty whiteys...

it's as annoying as pronouncinging STL as "Louie".

SF is not really known for stellar pizza, unless one hits a small Mom +Pop place. While SF has a great Northern Italian tradition, I can't say it's all that great pizza-wise after 10 years of living there (until 2000).

if Pi is delicious, I will have to check it out next time in town (is that East of Skinker?).

I guess it's personal, but I much prefer the NY or STL crust.

The U. just opened up a few weeks ago and they are open until 3:30 AM every night except Sunday!!! Its all hot sandwiches and they do salads and soups too. Its pretty vegetarian friendly also for those who care, but for those who don't they have some great cheesesteaks and some cool takes on sandwiches like a salmon pesto club and a blue cheese pepper corn beef sandwich with ranch on it. Its on Olive near Compton right by SLU. They also deliver. The website is www.theustl.com
