Bacchus in Sono. Molte Bene

Living in Sono, anytime a new restaurant opens, it's somewhat of an event and as such, must be tested immediately. That being said, my wife and I ate at Bacchus in South Norwalk last night and were very impressed. From the Tuna Tartare on crackers and the large romaine crisps in the Caeser salad to the cooked-to-perfection Filet Mignon, the food was all very good and the service was the most attentive I've had in this town. A nice touch was added in between apps and entrees as a complimentary, light, chef's tasting of pasta was delivered. Nice touch. If you like Pinot Noir, the Stephen Ross puts Strada's Willamette to shame and the Ice Wine at the end was a perfect complement to our desserts. They have done a great job updating the old Bistro Du Soleil to form intimate and well-lit environs. Apparently, we weren't the only ones who were impressed, as the place was packed with patrons halfway through our meal. We will undoubtedly return soon.

  1. Thanks for the report. We walked by it the other night and I briefly glanced at the posted menu but it looked very very long and I didn't have time to take it all in. We'll have to give it a try. Are they open for lunch as well?
