JKWB vs. Foxley

Are they even comparable?

Sadly, I have never been to either, and am looking to take a friend out for her birthday this evening. Please help me by comparing cost, atmosphere, style, value, and certainly flavour. We are in our mid-to-late twenties, and are looking for a good time.

Thanks in advance

  1. Unless you go right now, you'll never get into to Foxley tonight. They don't take reservations and there's ALWAYS a line-up. Foxley's flashier, but JKWB is no slouch and it shouldn't be difficult to get a table if you show up by 6:15. Again, no reservations.

oh but its a birthday, and its Friday- you could wait at Repasado (tequila wine bar) down the street while you wait for a table at Foxley.
But honestly, although Foxley is great- it isn't exactly in the middle of happening spots- I'd probably go JKWB-- both places are busy and fun- similarly priced as I recall- but after JKWB you could go to Reservoir Lounge, The FOundation Room- etc....

Um not true, after Foxley you could go to Levack Block, Sweaty Betty's, The Social, The Beaconsfield, The Drake...

The Ossington-to-Parkdale stretch is kind of where it's at these days.

oh sorry- my geographical challenges were getting the better of me- all I could think of was the Dakota. thanks-
