Joes of Avenue U or Gino's Focacceria

For the first time in a long time I'm going to be in Brooklyn tomorrow. I want to try either one of these Sicilian places. I've read up on both and can't decide. Do you hounds have a preference for one over the other?
Thanks!

Joe's. Gino's is more of a walk in and grab a panelle special with extra ricotta kinda place. Awesome for the area, but not exactly where I'd go for dinner. I cook Sicilian food almost daily, so I might be biased on saying where I'd actually go to eat it.

I don't know Gino's but I love love LOVE Joe's. Be forewarned: they close early, like 9pm on Saturdays.

There's also Ferdinando's on Union for Siciliano too. Either way you can't miss.

I was going to mention Ferdinando's myself. I love their pasta con sarde.

Joe's of Ave U is the better of the two. Gino's is in desperate need of a re-do. The food is just okay. The octopus/calamari salad was not good due to the calamari being rubbery. At Joe's I ordered octopus only salad and it was good.
