Need DC Restaurant Suggestion

Hello all,

In a couple of weeks, I (along with three other ladies) are taking our best friend out for dinner for her bachelorette party.

Mind you, we're not looking for cheesy, tacky, or anything like that!

We all love delicious food and are looking for a place that is fabulous, fun, and most of all, scrumptious!

Any suggestions in the DC area?

(Also...anyone know of a great kareoke bar in DC as well)?

We ended up going to Jaleo in Bethesda, and it was absolutely perfect! Thanks so much for the fabulous suggest :)

I think Cafe Milano would be a good spot to check out based on what you are looking for...

i second the Jaleo suggestion; others would be Proof and Zaytinya.

Can't go wrong with Zataynia, Oyamel, or Jaleo for good food and a fun atmosphere. Peyote cafe used to be fun for Kareoke in Adam's Morgan but I'm not sure it is still there.

For food I would head over to Penn Quarter/Chinatown area. There are some great restaurants that would fit what you are looking for. My top choices would be Oya (bonus that they have a $30 3-course special), Zola, Proof, or Cafe Atlantico. Another option would be Ceiba.

In terms of kareoke bars, its been ages since I've been but there is a fun kareoke bar in Adams Morgan called Peyote or something along those lines.
