Just started working in the hood and need reasonably priced yummy options for eats. Any ideas?

I work on 59th and Lex. Yummy gourmet deli- Sunberries- on 60th and park. Chop't salad on 56th between Madison and Park. Next to Chopt is a Cosi, Fusia- quick asian, including sushi, not spectacular, emphasizing the quick- on 56th and lexington. If you are willing to take a walk on a nice day- 805 3rd avenue between 49 and 50 in the crystal pavillion food court is Pampano Taqueria. Delicious!

Thanks Tal! Since my posting, I've also discovered Our Place Shanghai Tea Garden...exceptional soup dumplings and shredded beef lunch special!

I have a certain fondness for Astra in the D&D building. It's on Third between 57th & 58th (I think). It's a great place for a fast sit down lunch.

For take-out, Mangia on 57th between 5th and 6th is very good. Marche Madison on 58th between Madison and Park is also pretty good, though a bit on the pricey side.

For a quicker sit-down lunch, Cinema Cafe on 60th between Madison and Park is very good. Gene's Diner is also a nice option (across the street from Mangia) if you're looking for a quick greasy spoon lunch.
