Japanese Fusion

Any suggestions for Japanese Fusion restaurants (up to $30-35 for an entree)? I am especially interested in Japanese French. Anywhere in Manhattan. Thanks.

      LAN on 3rd Ave is Japanese Fusion that fits your budget. It is more French than say Nobu or Morimoto. It also has a tasting menu that is quite a bargain.

      Le Miu on 1st Ave is Japanese fusion as well run by ex-Nobu chefs. It is less French than LAN. I like LAN better, but LAN can be very noisy and crowded at dinner time.

        Le Miu is on Avenue A, not first Avenue.

        I like both. Lan is much more busy, though. I'd make reservations if you're going there.

        I've walked into Le Miu at 7-8pm on the weekend -- it doesn't seem to fill up until later in the night.
