KitchenAid Mixer @ Costco w/bonus

I bought one of these recently at Costco when they were on sale for 245.00. They now have a special for a free food grinder or slicer/shredder if you mail in the receipt/upc/online form. The purchase date must be from April 1-May 31. This is a pretty good deal (I think) for a 475 watt KA with attachment. See the form for the small print/details.

that is a fair price. I purchased one some time ago from Target and paid 225, with no extra attachments. I had considered a grinder, but read a lot of reviews stating that grinding any reasonable amount of meat would burn out the motor. Just a FYI.

We grind chuck roasts into "hamburger" all the time. Maybe 6- 10 pounds a time. We have never had any binding or slowing of the motor. We have done this for years.

This myth seems to be cropping up with increasing frequency lately, but like I said on another thread, I use my KA for grinding meat almost as much as I do for mixing, and the motor barely gets warm. Don't worry about it.
