Any ideas how to use this product that I just picked up in the International Section of my local supermarket?
Bottled burnt sugar is used most frequently in West Indian Rum cake (goes by many names like Black Cake, Wedding Cake Christmas Cake etc.).Here's a recipe:http://saveur.com/food/classic-recipe...
I'm pretty sure that this is used when sauting chicken to help carmelize and give it a rich brown color.
