Asian bulk candy shops in Chinatown

I'm looking to buy hard candy from Japan, China, etc. for less than $3.50/lb. What are the best places to go in Chinatown? Would the Hong Kong Supermarket be a good stop? I know there are some specialty shops where the candies are in bins but I'm not sure where they are and what the prices are like.

There is a Japanese candy store with a wide variety on Mott Street (at Pell) that is called Ichiban I believe. I can't tell you what their prices are by the pound. You can sample some of their wares - especially their dried candies that are sold loose and by weight. They have plenty of wrapped candies as well.
