Best Caesar Salad?

I need help finding a really good Caesar Salad, preferably in the SFV. I like strong, anchovy, dressings the best and have not had much success lately in finding a good place. My son loves Ceasar salad's too so a kid friendly place would be a plus. Thanks in advance for your help.

  1. The best Caesar I have found is it at The Ivy. Now I know that is not in the valley, but it is worth the drive. I also, like a very strong dressing and this fits the bill perfectly. It also happens to be very garlic-y but I just love it. I order caesars everywhere and this has been my favorite forever. Another place that I find to make a good strong caesar which has locations in the valley and is absolutey kid friendly is CPK (sorry to all the serious CH's who don't approve!). They make a really good and far more inexpensive salad than the Ivy. The Ivy caesar will always be tops in my book though, so definitely give it a try!

      1. I agree with bellabar about Dan Tana's having the best Caesar salad.

However, you specifically wanted a place in the valley. Ruth's Chris in Woodland Hills makes a good one. I know it's a chain and many people won't like the idea, but Daily Grill has an okay Caesar when they use the right amount of dressing. Emilio Presto Trattoria in Encino used to make an okay Caesar, but I prefer their chopped salad. Finally, I'm guessing Brandywine in Woodland Hills would probably have a good Caesar.

        1. My favorite Ceasar is the spicy Mambo salad at Mastro's. Be prepared for it packs a punch. It has wasabi and horseradish in the dressing. It'll make you cry at times but it is amazing!!!

          1. I haven't been in a long time, but Barsac on Lankershim has a very good caesar and I think Mistral does a good job too.
