Terra Cotta Clay Garlic Roaster use & care?
From what I remember, you cut the top off a head of garlic, drizzle with oil, and place in the roaster. Then you bake at 400F for 45 minutes or until the garlic is soft. You can clean with soap and water to wash the oil off.
Having said that, I find that garlic roasts much faster when it's just wrapped in foil. I used to have a terra cotta roaster but it took so long that I stopped using it. And then it went to Goodwill.
When I don't even have time to roast garlic, I simmer peeled cloves in olive oil in a small pan until soft.
