Romantic Dinner in Tribeca?

villager21 May 7, 2008 01:04 PM

Hi everyone! I'm looking for a great spot for a romantic dinner for my boyfriend's birthday. We need to be in Tribeca. No preference in cuisine, and price doesn't matter. Does anything come to mind?

I agree with sam1 _ Bouley or Fresh. I had a lovely time at Fresh on my last birthday.

I would recommend Duane Park. Newly re-opened, under the radar gem.

Walkers for casual, Circe Rouge for mid-range french, and you're already getting the high end suggestions.

circe rouge has by far the worst service in tribeca and mediocre food...im surprised theyre still in business.

I know you're not alone in that opinion, but I've never experienced that, and the place has gone through a couple incarnations with chef changes.

          The Harrison.

tribeca is either high end...bouley, chanterelle...or good for groups in my opinion...odeon, landmarc, petite abeille, walkers.

id go with bouley if you can get a good table and money is no object...if it is, perhaps fresh on duane street (i think) would be a nice spot to celebrate.

I second Fresh- I took my boyfriend there for his birthday and we had a great night. I really think this is one of the most underated restaurants in NYC.
