Wild Game Meat Restaurants - Phoenix/Scottsdale

Just trying to search the net for restaurants that serve exotic meat in this area but couldn't really find much except for Fuddruckers. Anyone know of any?

Wright's serves Elk and Buffalo. Both wild, not farm raised.

The Deli inside of Cabela's Sporting Good store (upstairs) offers several wild game options including Venison Bratwurst and Elk sandwiches.

The menu is located here: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/tem...

Thanks, cg. Yeah, it is on the list... I think I will take J. over there during the Memorial Day weekend and see how the food is.

After Seth's experience at the other big hunting store's restaurant, he's a braver man than I.

Though I would love to spend a Day in her shoes....enjoying a meal w/ Seth intrigues me!

                I love his reviews!

Safeway also sells ground bison, but it was greasier than I thought it should have been (I made burritos). Mosaic also tends to serve a lot of game.

Is there something specific you're looking for? There are a lot of places in the Valley. For example, Stax Burger Bistro in Scottsdale serves burgers made from a variety of meats, including buffalo and ostrich. One of the more exotic meats I've recently run across is grilled antelope at Cork in Chandler (www.corkrestaurant.net).

Not looking for anything specific, I want to try some new stuff like buffalo or ostrich like you mentioned. I was just watching the Food Network the other day and saw mention of those two, elk, alligator, bear, etc.

Last time I was at South Beach in Scottsdale, I noticed they had alligator on menu. Also, Cholla, a restaurant at Casino AZ, has elk tenderloin. The only place I can remember seeing bear meat was Kokopelli Winery in Chandler. They do an annual wild game festival (in the fall, I think) that features bear and other types of meat.

Looks like most of the restaurants that serve exotic meats are kind Native American...

Whole Foods Markets sells bison (buffalo) meat. We saw some this weekend at the N. Scottsdale/101 store. They might have other varieties as well.

Sassi and Cowboy Ciao both feature game. If you're willing to include the west Valley, so does the Arizona Kitchen at the Wigwam.

Kai and Koisin at the Wild Horse Pass Resort on the Gila River Indian Community both feature game meats on their menus.

Kai and Cowboy Ciao are what come to mind for me, but I know there must be others.
