Any such thing as a place with a good steak dish in any of those areas? Or maybe the North End? A friend and I are going out after work today and he's jonesing for a steak.

You might laugh, but McCormick & Schmick's (Quincy Market) actually does a darn good steak. Maybe not Grill 23 good, but good nonetheless.

Start off with a bunch of oysters, and you're set.

BTW, has anyone dined at the North Street Grille recently? I haven't been in a while. They used to have a good steak, too.

NSG unfortunately is still on a serious downhill alert. I wish it were better as it is so close to home but cant recommend it any more.

Is it still bad? It always seems packed for brunch on the weekends.

Brunch is Ok although not as good as it oncewas and seems to be very expensive. I think it is crowded because it is also one of the only neighborhood places that serves breakfast/brunch on the weekend and the service is pretty good. The wait staff do work very hard on the weekends.

Moo where the Federalist used to be. Also KO Prime, both expensive. Prezza in the north end has tons of grilled meats.

I second Prezza and their wood grill. Also leaves plenty of options for you if you are not in the mood for steak and don't want to get pigeon-holed and end up eating at a steak resteraunt.
