If you want the celeb chef experience, you could try Maze Grill - (part of the Ramsay empire) - but as it is still quite new, it is still finding its feet in a lot of ways. As for scones, for me it's got to be the Dorchester, but I've heard good things about The Muffin Man in High Street Kensington. I'd imagine you can't go far wrong with the scones at any of the well known afternoon tea venues in the capital.
