Any recommendations for the best deli while I am in NYC this summer. I grew up and worked in Manhatten, but it's been awhile since I've been there.

Kinda depends on what you're looking for, but for pastrami, it's hard to beat Katz's. BTW, since you left, they changed the spelling to Manhattan.

Hey, it's Manahatta. Just because you paid me $24 for the place doesn't mean you get to change the name, paleface.

Best deli? By and large, Katz's for the "best of", but it's the least civilized from a service standpoint IMHO.

My favorite deli is Sarge's on Third Ave. & E. 37 St. I even travel from the UES to go to Sarge's.

for Jewish Deli, i recommend 2nd Avenue Deli and Katz's.
for Italian Deli, i recommend Manganaro's.

and though in brooklyn, my favorite deli of all in NYC is Catene Deli on 9th st. and 4th ave in brooklyn- ultimate old school italian deli! enjoy fb
