Paddleboat Cruise Suggestions?

I'm disgusted to admit that my company wants to hire one of these boats for our conference in July so has anyone been on any of these and might be able to suggest one that is decent?

Hi there. I was wondering what you ended up doing for your company function. I am now in the same boat (no pun intended) that you were in, and was wondering if you could offer any advice.

I went with the Steamboat Natchez for my event and it was fantastic! Everyone loved the event and still talk about how much they loved it to this day (and it was in July 2008). I'm not going to mislead you though, the food isn't fabulous but it wasn't terrible either. I would certainly book the boat again if we came back to New Orleans for an event.

The Natchez (not sure what other boats are cuising, post-K) is a lovely ride, but the food is uniformly terrible. Persuade your company to pony up the bucks for an outside caterer, and you'll do fine.

I love the Natchez too - the Dukes of Dixieland are a terrific band. There's a cute bar on board so you're alright for drinks. I think lots of muffalettas from Central Grocery might be a good food idea because as Hungry Celeste says the food is pretty nigh inedible on board.
