Tango Palace - best cookie ever!
Stopped in to Tango Palace the other day to get some coffee to go and on a whim picked up a chocolate chip cookie. WELL!!! I gotta say it was the best damn cookie I've had in a long while. Just the right size, perfect chew factor, with a slight crispiness to it, but the best part is the stuff inside. Not only is it filled with good quality chocolate chips, they've added pumpkin and flax seeds to it. Hell, this might even be good for you. Can't wait to go back!!

Update: I tried the cookie. It's very...erm...healthy tasting. Certainly not BAD but not really worth the $2.25 they are charging. I could make these pretty easilly at home. It's got pumpkin, flax, sunflower seeds in it plus I detected a smattering of walnuts. Raisins and milk chocolate chips (high quality chocolate) round out this cookie. It's good but a little overpriced, and certainly not the best cookie I've had.

I love that place! I bring study partners and other assorted coffee-time companions there as much as possible. It's a great atmosphere for just sitting back and chatting over enormous cups of tea/coffee and an interesting selection of sweets and treats. Their sandwich menu looks great too, I keep meaning to try some of their smoked salmon.

Queen Street East, at Jones. Great neighbourhood independent coffee shop. The folks that work there are very friendly and seem to love what they do. But that cookie, OMG. I had a half leftover which I just finished and wished I had more.....
Not overly sweet either, just right!!
