Does anyone know where to buy cake / compressed / fresh yeast in Portland? Thanks!

Safeway's used to have it in a little basket hanging above the butters but I haven't looked for it in a very long time.

I've found it at both Safeway and Freddies at various locations - but not all stores seem to stock it (most do). Be careful and always check the expiration dates -- I've purchased expired yeast at both stores.

I'm pretty sure that I've bought it at New Seasons in the past, but it's been a long time!

For years my mom has gotten hers at Beaverton Bakery. Which would mean driving in hideous downtown Beaverton, but you have the added bonus of...being at the Beaverton Bakery.
