Anything good near W. 31st. St.

This week, I am staying at the Affinia Hotel on 31st. and 7th. While I am very familiar with the area, I have not generally thought of it as a dining hotspot. Are there any reaturants worth checking out in the vicinity, maybe something I'm missing? Any type of cuisine is fine by me. I would appreciate any suggestions.
