MSP: Joey Nova’s Pizzeria & Grilled Subs

I noticed that 107 has a deal up for them. Never been, though they aren't too far from where I live.

I like Latuff's and Angeno's pizza; sandwiches from Doolittle's and Subway is okay sometimes. Do you think I'd like the food at Joey's?

I'm not sure if there is more than one Joey Nova's, but I work in Golden Valley and have eaten at the one off Hwy100 several times.

While some may complain it is not "authentic", it is still good and I'm of the school that if you want authentic regional food, go to that region...don't complain you can't get a real NYC bagel in Albuquerque. The slices are huge though the pizza isn't all that good. The cheese steak, while not traditional, is quite good, as are the Italian fries. Other hot sandwiches had been good. One item of note however, I have found everything just a bit over-salted, though not to the point of being inedible.

That said, I'd rather go across the parking lot to Uncle Franky's. Less expensive, very good, and a rather unique experience.

I love Joey's and have said so on this board in the past. They are getting a real nice lunch crowd. I told Justin the manager that I wasn't going to send him any more customers, I didn't like waiting in line, he laughed and said your order (2 slices of pep)is already in the oven. I'm a north Jersey transplant and Joey Novas is my favorite.

If Subway is OK for you, then you will find Joey Nova's will blow you away. They are first rate. If Subway were a Chevy, Joey Nova's would be a Lamborghini.
