Cost Plus Oakland Chocolate

BigWoodenSpoon May 4, 2008 03:44 PM

I'm not sure if any of you have had the "World Market" brand of all natural chocolates, but we picked up the "Sea Salt Dark Chocolate" (64%) today and it was yummy salty/chocolatey goodness. $1.99 for a 3 oz. bar which I'll have to keep with me or lock up to keep it away from my hubby. Good eating chocolate, not "super-deluxe", but very nice. There's also a Chipotle and a Pomegrante that looked interesting. FYI, $5.99 for Vosges Chili Bar, Barcelona Bar and one other I'm not remembering. That's a $2 savings compared to Bittersweet. Currently there's a sale on various chocolates (Valrona, etc) for Mother's Day. Hail the Cocoa Bean!

Thanks for the tip -- any clues as to who the manufacturer might be?

I sent an email asking my sister-in-law, who is the regional candy buyer for cost plus.
I was the one who convinced her to start stocking the Vosges.

My sister-in-law says the sea salt dark chocolate is made by Astor Chocolates of New Jersey.
