Blue Moon Fish Company

i've checked some posts but haven't seen any info on this place, specifically Sun brunch; we have family coming in a few weeks and are looking for a good brunch spot (affordable and not too far from Aventura - prefer "Fla style" since they're coming from the northeast);

  1. Blue Moon Fish Company, in my opinion, is a phenomenal restaurant!! I prefer their dinner service to their brunch service, although brunch is a little bit different as they serve individual portions of each dish rather than buffet style.
    It is not that close to Aventura though... it's probably a good half hour away.
    If you are looking for a good brunch spot you should try Nikki Marina in Hollywood. It's about 10 minutes from Aventura, located right on the intracoastal with a good variety of food. It's a little pricey at $40/person, but it is worth it considering you get unlimited mimosas...

    1. This is a great restaurant. here is the link:

      never been there for brunch but the dinner is incredible. its on the intercoastal on oakland blvd and its a beautiful place to take vacationers for a night out.

        I agree - it is great, but I believe it is on the intracoastal at Commercial Boulevard, not Oakland Park.

      2. I ate at the Blue Moon Fish Company in November and had a great meal with a fantastic view of the intracostal. I would however say that it was pipped to the post by the Sunfish Grill

        Ft Lauderdale,

        I thought it had the edge on the fish but didn't have the view.

        1. Every time we travel to Ft L, we have brunch at Blue Moon. Most excellent!

          1. Can't comment on the brunch but we were very disappointed with our dinner there. Food was mediocre at best

            1. While there are some naysayers on this board about Blue Moon, you can count me as one of their fans. I generally eat at their western outpost in Coral Springs because it's more convenient to me; but the one out east is nice when the weather is good for the water view. The western Blue Moon no longer serves brunch except for holidays such as Mother's Day where I will be once again after having a great Mother's Day brunch there last year. I can vouch for it. However, as other posters have mentioned, it's quite a hike from Aventura. I'm sure you can find an excellent brunch closer to "home" after searching this board.
