Fun Different Restaurant for a Bachlorette Party

miamisweet May 3, 2008 03:05 PM

Before heading out to a lounge the bachlorette would like to go to a different restaurant that we usually wouldn't go to. Any ideas? I'm open for anything/ budget no more than $75 per person.

Anyone think Hakan's turkish grill or d'vine would be fun? I was thinking the hookah pipes are something we usually wouldn't do.
I'm open to all suggestions in Miami/Gables/Sobe. Thank you very much!

If you're really looking for something different - try LIPS in Ft Lauderdale! (http://frontpage.jumponmarkslist.com/bars/lips.htm) & (http://frontpage.jumponmarkslist.com/...) What a blast! Food is great & reasonable...good drinks. GREAT SHOW. The Sunday gospel brubch is something to behold!

Hakan's, in my experience, is not that special. The food and atmosphere seem just average to me. Never been to D'vine.

What about a decadent brunch at the Ritz on Key Biscayne?

It needs to be a dinner place since after dinner we're hitting up Florida Room at the Delano or sagamore.

          Devito's - ritzy, sceney

El Carajo- in the back of a Citgo station, amazing wine selection, tapas

Indomania- Indonesian, you could share many dishes

Fox's Sherron Inn- if you want to go old school continental with Hollywood (CA) style banquettes

Hy Vong- Vietnamese in a strip mall on Calle Ocho.

Magnum Lounge- good food, fab service, there may be singing!

WAIT! Is this a weekend night? Have the girls park in the lot just south of the Fillmore and meet up on the beach behind the Ritz Carlton at 1 Lincoln Road. The Dilido Beach Club is like a little Oasis in the sand serving tapas and a "sun cuisine" menu prepared by chef Jeff McInnis. You can call and get a pre-planned menu if there will be a large group or just wing it when you get there. (I would at least call and tell them you're having a special party and see about any "perks.")

But the fun part is that they do a FREE hookah happy hour Thursday and Friday nights now with pipes for you guys to try in the breezy cabanas out back. First drink is FREE.

When my friend got hitched, we had a girl's night at their spa on a Thursday because they do a champagne happy hour in there with spa treatments for $50pp. It was goofy and fun.

Online menu and pix are here>

The Ritz is just a quick sprint in stilettos to the Delano. And you know I just love a free drink!

            Have Fun!

How about The Melting Pot? It's a fondue restaurant and really is a chick place.
