I will be married in paris on a friday in May and our immediate family (sisters, mothers, fathers, a cousin or two) will be coming in to celebrate with us. Our civil ceremony will be finished by noon and we are looking to have lunch together in traditional, beautiful, neighborhood bistro immediately after. We will be marrying in the 9th Arr. It is a small group (perhaps 15 people) with 3 small children (ages 1.25 to 5). We aren't looking for fancy (we'll be having dinner -- my new husband and I -- at L'Arpege)... Our families have never spent time here. So we are looking for an authentic neighborhood type place with perhaps a garden or an extra room we could reserve or a on a pedestrian only street with tables outside so that the children could be free to run about and we can move about and talk and eat lunch and drink some wine ... it doesn't have to be in the 9th, we can travel. ANy ideas would be much appreciated!

Plenty of nice little bistrots in the 9th: Pétrelle, Olympe, Chez Jean, l'Oenothèque -- also they have private rooms at Le Petit Riche. I'm pretty sure many of them could be privatised for lunch. Wally le saharien has the most amazing "dry" couscous (you know couscous is the n°1 traditional dish in France, not kidding).

Edited to add: La grille, Carte Blanche, Velly, le Beaujolais rue Milton, Rose Bakery, Chez Michel, Le Pré Cadet.
