scallop shell madeline tins

I was perusing tastespotting.com as I do everyday and saw these magnificent Madelines; however instead of the traditional longer-shell/fan shape, these were shaped in a fatter, scallop-shape. Has anyone seen these kinds of tins anywhere or know of any online retailers that may sell something like it? The blog listing is in Portuguese, and I'm about to contact the writer for more info, but figure I'd post about it here too.

The blog post: http://cinarasplace.blogspot.com/2007...

Those madeleines are beautiful and there are recipes for chocolate and raspberry besides the traditional - YUM!

This is the link to the page where I saw the pan:

I thought the Lime Honey Madeleines sounded good too. I'm going to have to try them.

just an update, but I did find my dream pan on ebay! Yay! The seller (sharyn-m) has a kitchen wares store on ebay, and had several more, but when I checked (I bought one, I figured that would suffice) she was sold out.

Thank you so much!!! I was going crazy trying to find that pan. I just went on ebay and checked - she had more in stock, so I bought two of them. :) I've actually bought quite a few things from that particular seller. She often has hard-to-find kitchen items - like the ravioli rolling pin I bought from her a few months ago. (And I'm so glad I was aimlessly scrolling through the cookware board because for some weird reason this thread doesn't show up under my recent postings and I would have missed your reply...)

I got the pans today - I LOVE them!! I can't wait to actually use them. Probably this weekend. :) Thanks again for the tip - I really appreciate it.

You're right - those are very pretty. I love baking tins and would love to find a pan like that as well. You might try ebay among other places. I tried googling it and all I found (so far) was a picture of a madeleine tin with those exact shapes but it was on someone's blog and apparently a friend of the blogger's (from Japan) had sent the pan to her in Brazil as a gift.
