Santa Monica - Dog Friendly

Looking for a dog friendly cafe in the Santa Monica area for breakfast - early lunch. Nothing too expensive. Any help would be appreciated.

  1. The Rose Cafe is close to there. We stopped going there because they're dog friendly, so it should be what you're looking for.

Actually the Rose Cafe isn't particularly dog friendly except for the fact that lots of people tie up their dogs in front since there is a somewhat unusual closed-off yet unused area to do so. Otherwise there are no tables you can eat at with a dog. (Perhaps people used to sneak dogs in the back, but that's closed for renovations right now.)

I've eaten with my dog a few times at 3 Square on Abbot Kinney, at one of the semi-outdoor tables. They are probably stretching the rules by allowing it but I've seen other dogs as well. If your dog is small or medium sized and well-behaved, it should be easy to get away with.

      2. On Montana - Blue Plate, Rosti, Babalu, Kreation Kafe, Le Marmiton.

Rose Cafe is in Venice, on Rose.

          1. Here are the dog friendly places in Santa Monica. Le Pain Quitodien is very dog friendly. (They have Brentwood and a Santa Monica location on 26th and San Vicente. Bread and Porridge is great breakfast place on Wilshire Blvd They let you eat at the outside tables on Wilshire with your dog. It is a terrific place. Amadine on WIlshire lets you sit outside with your dog too. All are good places. There is waitress service at Bread and Porridge.
