Black Hound Bakery, which cake to get?

The web site looks very inviting but I want to know what people have tried, eaten and enjoyed more than twice? Thank you

the dark chocolate layer cake with a layer of marzipan beneath the frosting is absolutely DIVINE... and I don't like sweets or chocolate, in general. You can't really go wrong with anything from BLack Hound though.

The chocolate mousse cake is divine and not overly heavy/sweet despite the amount of chocolate. I agree with the other posters about the bee cake - it can be cloying.

i love the busy bee cake, but you have to be in the mood - it is incredibly heavy and sweet. its not for everyone though, i had it at party and some people thought it was too much.

Lemon Poppy seed cake is the lemon poppy seed ideal. http://www.blackhoundny.com/products2...
Tart lemon, melty moist buttery cake, plentiful poppy crunch, and a lovely contrast with the raspberry filling, all topped with delicious butter cream. Not cheap, alas (which is probably a good thing in that it constrains my indulgence...

We've tried others--the busy bee chocolate among others, and none are as memorable or as perfect as the lemon poppy seed.

German chocolate cake. My sister sent me one. It was great.

I have now had their Strawberries and Cream cake twice and it was just as delicious as it was beautiful. I did not care for their coconut cake.
