Soft Shells at Breadline

As of today (maybe sooner?).

Also, the website is still erroneously listing the Thursday sandwich as an oyster po' boy (which is now off the menu).

GREAT sandwich.

  1. ^^You've had the SS crab sandwich? Is it a thursday special now?

      1. re: hill food

I think it was north of $11 (maybe ever 14.95) when I had a few weeks ago.
It was quite a surprise when I hit the register.

Eeep - really? $14.95 is really steep. Was it worth it at least?

          1. re: beauxgoris

Don't quote me on the price, but it wasn't cheap.

            As for the sandwich...

Breadline tends to put the fried goods (oysters/soft shell crab) on the softer and sweeter breads. I prefer something a little more hearty so I can get the contrast between the soft seafood and a crust bread. I think that's the result of eating a lot of po boys from New Orleans transplants in Houston.

It was good, but I'm not rushing back to eat it specifically again (and breadline is in my top 3 places for a quick lunch)

      2. So tomorrow's the big day! Who is going?
