NATAS Pastries-guilty pleasures!

Hypnotic23 Apr 30, 2008 07:21 PM

Well, as I'm driving home I'm craving something bad, you know those urges you get.

I have a terrific dinner already marinating at home that I plan to cook yet I turn on the exit I usually avoid and stop in NATAS Portugese pastry shop.

I've tried various things there in the past yet today I got the:

-Brownie (oh my god, this was so so so yummy)
-Bread Pudding (tasty too yet I'm used to a nice warm hot out of the oven, though it was cooked and you can taste the flavor the raisens were soaked in)

Just had to share this spot with those who haven't indulged yet.

Next to Casa Vega on Ventura Blvd-Sherman Oaks.

Good Night,

was the brownie dark chocolatey or more bittersweet or milky? and, was it cakey, fudgy, chewy?

      A chow fave!

It often battles with LEda's for Sherman Oaks Ventura Blvd Treat rulership.

Me, becuase there are less nuts at Leda's, and the staff is more knoweldgeable about what has nuts-I am a Leda's girl. But Nata's is amazing. Also, their savory pastries and such are great.

I think Nata's rocks -- they are super friendly people too.
