Japanese in the Marlboro MA area??

Shiro's in Berlin - does anyone know if this place is still open? If it is, has anyone been there lately. I remember it as having really slow service but the food was very good.

Any other suggestion for Japanese in the Area?

I really like Mikaku and find it a step above Yama Zakura, a step above Zipango and a short step away fro Baba,

Baba is without a doubt the finest sushi in this part of the state. Having never been to Mikaku, what, in your opinion, makes it a cut above the aforementioned places?

I quite enjoy Yama Zakura just off route 20 in Northboro. Small place, but tasty sushi.

Agree about Yama Zakura.....i think a little pricier than i remember Shiro being though.

If that is the place on Rte. 62 right next to 495, yes it's still open. I haven't been, but they always seem to have a fair number of cars in the parking lot.

Last time I went there - which is within the past year - the place was closed up and appeared vacant.

I have to apologize. I went searching on line and actually found a review from Feb 2008. I guess they are open. Always looked closed. I stand corrected.

If it's the place that is in a house converted to a restaurant right next to the Exxon and the 495 - Rte. 62 exit, there were cars in the parking lot last week when I went by.
