Soccer Game For May 3rd in Montreal
Hello Everyone,
I'm surprizing my boyfriend for his birthday by bringing him to Montreal for the weekend of the 2nd to the 4th, but he just told me that there is a soccer game (Manchester United versus West Ham) at 7:45am Saturday May 3rd. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place perferably in downtown Montreal that may have the game playing? I don't want him to be in a sulky mood if he misses it. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Beth

On busy sport nights, like today's Canadiens-Flyers hockey game, it's probably best to make reservations(if they allow it), at whatever eating establishment you want to go to. Otherwise you probably won't get a seat, without at least a long wait.

re: BLM
BLM, the footie game was at 7:45 AM (because of the time zone difference). There would be only diehard footie fans at the pub or café at that hour. In my neighbourhood it is mostly Italian matches, or sometimes Latin-American ones, though I have seen English matches at Bruno Sport Bar on Beaubien (between Henri-Julien and Drolet). Mesmerdian, hope you got to see your match!

I'm thinking any café in Little Italy. Maybe you can google some and make some calls?
http://www.go-montreal.com/areas_littleitaly.htmI think it's playing at my house on the sports network. You may want to check the Peel Pub as well, breakfasts are pretty good and cheap. http://www.peelpub.com/main.html
