I gather that Louise's Trattoria doesn't get much love around here, but I had a half of Fettucini Alfredo for lunch last week (the location on Melrose in WeHo) that was scrumptious.

It was as rich as a ripe brie, and I went away happy.

I must agree with you in that I actually like Louise's Trattoria. I actually think their pasta is better than other "authentic" Italian restaurants. I'm not saying they have the best pasta in town, but I like their menu and think the food quality is pretty high. Good thing there's one by me in Studio City as well. Sometimes I crave their Pappardelle with Italian Sausage.

I'll have to try that one- the last one I had at the one on Montana was pretty gluey. But the server was so nice (splitting an order for us and just generally being attentive and nice) that I didn't say anything. Love their tomato sauce though. Louise's is a solid performer with good food at the price of an Applebee's; I love them for that.

But I think that Alfredo is something that is actually better on dried pasta, not fresh. Just me.
