I need recommendations for a weekday lunch near the Presidio. I will have my 13-year-old daughter and my sister-in-law who is stopping by after 2 weeks in Asia, so no dim sum suggestions, please!

Last summer I had a really lovely lunch at La Terrasse, inside the Presdio. I think I had a bistro salad (frisee/lardons) and my mother had, as I recall, trout.

I actually had lunch at La Terrasse yesterday and liked it very much. I'll post about it soon. The view is nice, there is plenty of parking and the food was good.

The only caveat I would have is that everything is about $2 - $5 more than it should be ... but there are times when you need to sit out on a patio watching the boats glide by on the bay ... and I'd pay similar prices at other view restaurants without food that was as good.

A16 on Chestnut in the Marina offers lunch several days per week. It's more relaxed and less crowded than at dinner. Nonetheless, it's delicious and my constant choice when in the neighborhood.
