Roland's Red Curry Paste: Where to find it in Seattle?

Help! I have this poblano pepper and gruyere cheese appetizer that can only be made with Roland's Red Curry Paste. I've tried many different substitutions and it's just not the same without it. I used to get it at Big John's PFI, but I went there this weekend and couldn't find any. I usually go and get half a dozen bottles because I can't seem to find it anywhere else. Does anyone know somewhere in Seattle that I can get it? I would order it online but I need it by Saturday.

  1. I looked around and found some of their other products, but not their red curry paste. Similar products are available. Why Rolands, and what is your appetizer?

The appetizer is roasted poblano peppers with curry paste and gruyere. Pretty simple to make - put the peppers under the broiler or over a flame to get the skins off. Cut each into four strips. Put a little curry paste and a slice of gruyere on top and put them back under the broiler until the cheese turns a little brown. They can be messy to eat, but they're a real crowd pleaser. I've tried a lot of different curry pastes and chili sauces, but none of them tastes as good as Roland's. It has just the right amount of spiciness and a slightly oily texture and a bit of tanginess.

    2. I would suggest you call Mekong in Everett. They carry an extensive line of Roland products. Good luck.
