FUN Family Bday in OC

My family (incuding 2 young neices) will be celebrating my 30th bday this weekend in the OC. I want somewhere fun and kid-friendly but really yummy and different. Any advice?

6 and 2. The 6 year old is well behaved, the 2 year old can go both ways :-)

    2. Hmm, somewhat of a tall order.

      Any specific area in OC?

The Beachcomber might fit the bill. Right on the beach, food can be good.

      1. brazillian bbq if you haven't already?

        1. Some may disagree with me about being kid-friendly, but AYCE Korean BBQ at Cham Sut Gol in Garden Grove would fit the bill for me. Grab a green tea (or vanilla and chocolate) ice cream cone when you're done stuffing yourself with meat. You might not even have to pay for the kids to eat.

          1. I know this is a chain, but not only is the food really good, I was really surprised by how friendly the staff at Roy's at Fashion Island was to my son. When I made the reservation, I told them I was bringing a 2 year old. They pretty much bring a special appetizer for the kids very quickly after you sit down, I think it's like apples, carrots and a quesadilla. There is a special kids menu with that features real food, not the usual chicken nugget/hot dog fare, and I think they bring out a special dessert at the end just for the kids. My son had the boneless short ribs and loved it. Unfortunately, the dinner service IS a bit long, so my son was ready to bug out before dessert arrived. The other nice thing (if you get there before the stores close) is that there is a carousel and koi pond in Fashion Island that kids love. There is also a Barnes & Noble with a good size kids section across the parking lot from Roy's, if someone has to take the 2 year old out of the restaurant.
