"Nice" meeting spot in Mpls?

And by nice, I mean:
~ a coffee/tea shop, or other venue where we don't have to order food
~ quiet and non-hubbuby
~ a little charm or pleasant atmosphere

I probably forgot the most important thing, but that's probably the way things are supposed to work, since they so often do. Anyway, if anyone knows a place that fits these 3 criteria, I'll be happy. Thanks!

The Clicquot Club Cafe has a great outdoor sitting area that's quite charming. I recommend it....except on Saturday mornings when it's full of sweaty people in bicycling shorts and couples with dogs.

I'm a broken record, but I love Wilde Roast Cafe--great coffee and desserts, usually not too loud, especially during the week.

i always seem to end up at anodyne for small mellow meetings, but there are lots of good local coffee shops if that neighborhood is not convenient

I really love Gigi's on 36th and Bryant in South Mpls. Quiet, good food (but you don't have to order any-- you can just drink coffee or tea). I used it as the meeting place for all my wedding vendors, and they were wonderful!

Birchwood Cafe, at E. 25th St. and 33 Ave S. in the Seward neighborhood (w/in 1/2 mile of Franklin & W. River Road). Very cozy and laid back, especially during off hours. (It can be crowded during main dining times.) Great food, though you don't have to order anything other than coffee/tea - but I challenge you to resist their great desserts!

The noise level can vary, though - it's quiet enough mid-afternoon, but can get a bit noisy at mealtimes or when the espresso machine is working full-time... But when the weather gets nice, sit outside for a calm and lovely neighborhood experience.

Betsy's Back Porch coffee on the corner of Nicollet and 56th. Lovely place, comfortable, quiet. Coffee, tea, and food if you want it.
