Will be at the tribeca family festival and wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions to a fun, family friendly restaurant in the area - thanks

while bubbys gets its detractors and rightfully so, i stopped by last night for dessert and it was quite pleasant. i think they get the message that service and quality were suffering over the years.

i was just going to say bubby's so i second sam1's suggestion. went there for brunch the other day and every other table had kids/ babies in baby carriages. and the food is totally kid -friendly.

The festival is on Greenwich Street so if you're looking for something nearby, there are a ton of places. Just on Greenwich Street alone, you'll find Deens Pizza, Roc, Gigino, Devin Tavern, and Bombay. Tribeca is such a family friendly area so all those places are great for kids.

Bubby's will have a line out the door for an hour. I live in the neighborhood and never understood the attraction. Two MUCH better places are Landmarc and Kitchenette. Both are also nearby. Kitchenette is old-fashioned comfort food. Depending on the age of your kids, it might feel a little cramped. However, Landmarc is great for families with kids. They have a special kids menu and, as a special treat, they make homemade gourmet cotton candy. Every kid loves it there.
