Visiting The Baltimore Area

o

I will be in the Baltimore area next month for a conference and have never been there before. I would love some suggestions for must-eat places to visit. I will be there Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights so places that require reservations are fine. Any help would be much appreciated.

Any preferences to consider so we can give suggestions that meet your needs?

Not really any preferences. Just interested in some local flavor.

For local flavor how about Gertrude's at the BMA? The menu is very Chesapeake influenced and if you sit outside next to the sculpture garden it's gorgeous.

Which area of Baltimore will you be in? Downtown?

I will be attending a convention at the Baltimore Convention Center and staying at Pier 5 Hotel.

Go to Faidley's in Lexington Market on Saturday for lunch and get the "all lump" crab cake. skip the sides, except for the onion rings. they also have great oysters at the oyster bar there
