Best Ethiopian/Italian in MD/DC

Hi,

Where can I find the best ethiopian or italian restaurant to go to for my 26th birthday in DC/MD? I am looking for a place with good drinks where it would be fun to have a party on a Saturday night with about 8-10 people.

    right across the street from each other are Washington's two best Ethiopian restaurants, Etete and Queen Makeda on Ninth St., just below U. Etete is usually more crowded, so it would be easier to do this at Queen Makeda.
