Do note that rec. on the butterscotch pudding -- glad to see it's still on the menu!

The specialty cocktail list is relatively small and changes frequently, I think. Rest assured they're really good and fairly inventive -- since Eastern Standard has the neighborhood monopoly on the classics. If you see a gin paired up with fruit, order it -- it's there for a good reason!

Actually, if you read that thread through, you will see that the butterscotch pudding is NOT on the menu any longer. I was there in mid April, and it was gone. Very sad, perhaps it will return.

An open letter to Michael Schlow:

Dear Mr. Schlow,

Please return the butterscotch pudding to Great Bay's dessert menu, tout de suite.

Sincerely,

I too am a fan of this yummy pudding. It was the creation of Great Bay's former chef Jeremy Sewall. He has his own place now in Brookline called Lineage. I'm sure you could request it if it's not on the menu. Food & Wine ran the recipe which I tried -- and it was pretty close.
