I've been going to Mitzi's (Sorauren north of Queen) for brunch for a few years now. I have to say that the oatmeal pancake that they serve is one of my favourite items for brunch that I've had in this city. Their menu changes each week with a different version of poached eggs, omelet, scrambled, french toast as well as the pancake. This week, the pancake was topped with vanilla custard, blackberries and always comes with a dollop of whipped cream. I also shraed the omelet which was filled with BBQ duck, hoisin and asian greens. A bit of a weird combination but still quite tasty. Nothing beats the pancakes though. If you are into brunch, I would definitely recommend checking it out.
The pancake is indeed tasty, though I've only had it at Mitzi's Sister on Queen St. Often on brunch dates, we share the pancake and the Huevos Rancheros, which to me are the best in the city. A little savoury, a little sweet. What I love about the pancake is that it's hearty, with a good nutty flavour. MMmmm delicious.

Thanks for sharing this little gem. I decided to try this place with my buddy. I opted for the pancakes. This time it had a compote of peaches and blueberries on top with a hearty mound of fresh whipped cream and a side of baby potatoes dashed with paprika. The pancake with tender and ever so crispy on the exterior... just the way I enjoy them.
My buddy chose the pulled pork sandwhich and he said the meat was very tender and juicy.
We will definitely come to this place again.. afterall i still I have go back and try their French toast :D
For those complaining about the place always being packed - it should be noted that on weekends, the pancake is also available at Mitzi's Sister, on Queen, just east or Sorauren. Generally the toppings are the same as at the smaller cafe. Better chance of getting a table here, plus those who enjoy the breakfast of champions can enjoy an oatmeal stout with the oatmeal pancake, for a long-lasting stick-to-yer-ribs meal.
