The Hidden Chef - Mackenzie Towne

Tried out some fresh takeout from The Hidden Chef in Mackenzie towne this week. The day we were there the owner and chef, Karin, made us a quick, fresh and delicious beef stirfry a la minute - nice flavours and very fresh tasting.

In a world where healthy takeout is virtually non-existant, this place is going to get a lot of business from me. Every day they make a new take-out entree fresh, however they also have pre-cooked vacuum sealed, Roast beef, veggies, mashed potatoes, lasagna, seafood lasagna, etc - I will have to try some next week.

You can also stay in and eat, she has about 5-6 tables available. She also had a very nice looking brunch menu on the wall, something else to come back for.

The owner is super friendly and was fun to talk to. She also recycles all her shopping bags which earned her bonus points from my wife and I. is a link to her website

  1. Healthy takeout? Excellent! Here I thought that was an oxymoron ;) I'd be a regular too but I'm not in MacKenzie towne a whole lot (we're in Panorama Hills...MacTowne would be a day trip hehe) Thanks for sharing :D

had a very nice panini there last week.

FYI, look for Oolong Tea house to open next door. That is turning into a very nice little strip :)
