Those of you who frequent Nicholas may have noticed the transformation of a neiboring junk store into and interesting little gourmet food establishment just a few yards north?I had followed the transformation over the past couple of months as the space was cleaned up and transformed.Today was the first oppertunity I have had to stop in and give it a shot.I was extremely, pleasantly surprised at what I found. The youthful enthusiasm and welcome of the young girls ( Owners?) and Chef was refreshing. The food is prepared in a relatively large open plan kitchen, with only a small area for seating,so i presume the focus is on take Out meals. There is a garden area ,which if they are able utilise it would be a welcome addition IMO for local office workers to escape to.As a Pizza fanatic i decided to try the individual Margherita pizza on offer and an asparagus frittata. The pizza was grilled - not my ideal, but it was well prepared, slightly charred and came with home made fresh mozzarella. The crust was as good and tender as grilled pizza I had previously sampled in Providence RI.The sauce could have used a little more seasoning, and really would have been better if it were just straight san marzanos or other good quality toms with no other additions. The Fritatta was delicious.Well balanced with sweet asparagus and onion and tasty. It did seem slightly too moist ,but that was probably just due to condensation as I had it "To Go" in a plastic container.Apparently they are still trying to figure out the Hours of business, but for now it seems to be 7 - 7 M/F & 9 - 5 Sat.I hope this place thrives and survives. It is a welcome addition to Rte 35 and though maybe not a varied, the quality appears to exceed that found at the take out in the nearby Wholefoods.

xny, thank you for sharing your personal experience @ djeet?
I thought it was a catering only operation. Any information on that aspect?
Any idea what djeet? stands for?
    Where did you park?

I think djeet? is a take on slang for "Did you eat?"

That's what I thought initially also, but seemingly no.It was a.m. when I stopped in and there was ample parking directly outside.I'm not certain but I think these areas get utilised by the valet parking people from Nicholas during the evening hrs.
