Best place to eat in Brooklyn?

Four of us r heading to Brooklyn next Saturday for dinner. Any suggestions on where to go for some good food. We were thinking franny's.

For a loud and crowded yet delicious meal, try Fiorentino's on Avenue U by McDonald Ave, or Trattoria on Ave. U by E. 25-ish St. OR in Bay Ridge, Areo on 3rd Ave. is fantastic, they serve more than the standard red sauce with a lot of meat options as well as seafood.

American Bistro/ Italian cuisine, no preference on location or budget. Thx.

Why not go to Al Di La for black squid ink risotto? Or, if budget does not permit, go to DiFara's for a square pie (no toppings please)?

I definitely second Al Di La. Every single experience of mine has been pleasant there...more than pleasant. Their food SO good and very fair compared to NYC prices. It is by far one of my favorite restaurants not just in Brooklyn but in the whole country! Sounds like a tall order but I don't exaggerate.
I gave Franny's a shot once and I don't get what all the hype is over. It is so expensive for what it is and while my food was tasty, I was underwhelmed. It always seems to be such a scene there too which I am not so into.
You *will* most likely have to wait for a table at Al Di La also unless you plan to go when they open but at least 5th ave is much cuter of a place to wait outside or go somewhere else while you grab a drink. They will take your phone number fyi so you can venture elsewhere while you're waiting.
